MBS Lunchtime Masterclass Series
FEAL’s formal education partner, the Melbourne Business School, runs a series of lunchtime online masterclasses to allow FEAL members to access leadership insights in short, one hour sessions led by MBS academics.
Technical Expert to Impactful Leader
Melbourne Business School, is delivering a three-part series of lunchtime masterclasses ‘Technical Expert to Impactful Leader’ designed for technical professionals who are making the transition into leadership, preparing for it, or accountable for enabling leadership impact.
The first two masterclasses are open for registration with the third still to be scheduled.
Session 1 - Stop Being the Expert. Start being the Leader. Impact & Influence – Tuesday 28 April, led by James Yorston
Stepping into leadership requires more than delivering results yourself. It demands the ability to influence, align others, and lead beyond your technical expertise.
This session explores the critical shift from trusted expert to effective leader, helping you move beyond solving problems to shaping decisions, building credibility, and creating impact through people.
Session 2 - Stop Reverting. Start Performing. Leading Under Pressure – Tuesday 19 May, led by Chyonne Kreltszheim
When pressure builds, many leaders default to what they know best, stepping back into technical delivery rather than leading performance.
Here we focus on how to lead effectively when it matters most, equipping you with the mindset and strategies to stay focused, lead your team, and deliver results under pressure.
Session 3 - Stop Reacting. Start Adapting. Agility & Resilience – to be scheduled
In today’s environment, leadership is defined by the ability to navigate uncertainty and respond to constant change.
The final session explores how to build the resilience and agility required to lead through complexity - enabling you to adapt, maintain performance, and develop teams that can thrive in evolving conditions.
