Zach Greening, Director, NettZero Carbon – speaking in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney

Zach Greening is Director of NettZero Carbon, where he leads advisory services in decarbonisation strategy, emissions reporting, Life Cycle Assessment, and carbon offset solutions. He supports clients across infrastructure, mining services, logistics, and professional services to meet evolving sustainability requirements ranging from Scope 3 boundary setting and Science-Based Targets to ASRS-aligned disclosures.

Zach holds Bachelors of Fine Arts and Marketing, a Postgraduate Certificate in Greenhouse Gas Reporting and LCA, and specialist training in sustainability and climate-related financial reporting. His expertise spans GHG Protocol alignment, net-zero strategy, and carbon credit procurement, bridging regulatory compliance with strategic value to help organisations reduce risk, secure growth, and lead on climate performance.

Marita Mewett, Director, NettZero ESG – speaking in Adelaide

Marita is Director of NettZero ESG with over 25 years’ experience transforming businesses at the intersection of people, process, and technology. Her career spans executive leadership at Deloitte and Presence of IT, where she built and scaled teams across Asia Pacific and advised organisations on human capital and governance. Her expertise includes HR technology innovation, ESG strategy, process transformation, and data-driven decision-making.

At NettZero, Marita applies her global experience to help organisations deliver better employee experiences, embed sustainability, and improve efficiency. She is passionate about sustainable growth, building engaged teams, and keeping businesses relevant in an evolving landscape.



Brisbane roundtable discussion lead

George Kendall, Senior Portfolio Analyst ‑ Sustainable Investment, Brighter Super

George Kendall is a Senior Analyst in the investment team at Brighter Super, where he leads the integration of sustainability considerations in manager selection, appointment, and ongoing monitoring across asset classes. Since joining in February 2024, he has played a key role in shaping Brighter Super’s climate risk integration, stewardship strategy and advancing its sustainability reporting framework.

George joined Brighter Super from Border to Coast Pensions Partnership, the UK’s largest pension pool, where he was Responsible Investment Manager. Prior to this he spent four years in the Investment Advisory team at KPMG as deputy head of multi-asset and sustainable investment research.

George holds a MSc in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of York.

Amanda Barker, Head of Corporate Sustainability and Social Impact, Aware Super

Amanda is an influential and strategic senior leader and Non-Executive Director with15+ years’ extensive experience leading and driving enterprise wide strategies that deliver commercial and shared value impact including setting the vision, building organisational capability, leading and developing impactful sustainability, ESG and CSR strategies.

As Head of Corporate Sustainability and Social Impact at Aware Super she is responsible for executing Aware Super’s national Corporate Sustainability Strategy - ESG, Governance Reporting, Gender Equality, Indigenous Engagement, Sustainable Development Goals, National Partnerships.

Kim Farrant, General Manager Responsible Investment, HESTA

Kim is the General Manager Responsible Investment at HESTA. She leads the fund’s responsible investment program as part of HESTA’s Super with Impact purpose - the positive outcomes we create by supporting our members to face the future with confidence, being a gusty advocate for a fair and healthy community, and delivering investment excellence with impact. Kim is focussed on delivering investment excellence with impact, by integrating impact measurement into the investment process, developing engagement programs that focus on managing system level risk and seeking opportunities to invest in positive impact aligned to priority Sustainable Development Goals.

She has more than 15 years experience as a responsible investment and sustainability professional and holds degrees in Engineering, Economics and Environmental Policy.

Sydney panellists

George Naoumis, Head of Investment Risk, Brighter Super

George Naoumis leads the investment risk function at Brighter Super, which is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing investment risks across the fund. With 30 years of experience in financial markets, George plays a critical role in safeguarding members’ retirement savings by ensuring robust risk frameworks and methodologies are in place. This includes the continuous enhancement of risk models, stress testing frameworks, and portfolio oversight. His function is also instrumental in driving the fund’s ESG and climate risk integration into the investment process, supporting sustainable growth and long-term value creation.

Prior to joining Brighter Super, George held senior roles in risk management at leading financial institutions, where he was responsible for financial risk management, portfolio management, quantitative analytics, and the provision of strategic advice to investment committees and boards. He has a strong background in mathematics, quantitative risk modelling, liquidity risk, credit risk, and portfolio management; combining technical expertise with strategic insights to navigate complex financial landscapes.


Tyrone O’Neill, Chief Strategy and Corporate Affairs Officer, Rest

Tyrone joined Rest in 2019 and leads functions including strategy, policy and government relations, legal and company secretariat, and communications.

Tyrone and his team work to support Rest member financial interests by shaping long-term thinking and strategy across Rest, including seeking to achieve positive public policy outcomes on behalf of Rest members.


He also sits on the board of SuperFriend and IGCC. Tyrone has over two decades of experience in senior leadership positions across a range of sectors including banking, telecommunications, and data science. Tyrone holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Computer Science, and Master of Letters in Philosophy from the University of Sydney.

John Mirotsos, Head of Partnerships - Group Insurance, Zurich

John has more than 30 years industry experience and has spent more than 19 years as part of the Zurich Group Insurance team. John has extensive life insurance, specifically Group and superannuation experience including 5 years as a Trustee Director on a Corporate superannuation fund board.

John and his team are responsible for the distribution and strategic relationship management of Zurich’s key partners across the group insurance market.
