The realities of designing and implementing better member retirement solutions at scale

The combined ASIC and APRA review of retirement income strategies is putting the spotlight on superfunds and how they are helping members to achieve better retirement outcomes.

Most members need help moving from saving to spending, but the question is how to help members at scale. With an estimated $225bn of members’ money potentially paying unnecessary tax on earnings, this alone shows there are tangible benefits to members moving into an improved retirement income strategy that could deliver the highest possible income to each member.

Targeted at fund executives, we held an educational panellist session over lunch to explore the realities of designing and implementing better retirement solutions for members in retirement.

The panel of industry experts reflected on the importance of merging product with member engagement and shared their thoughts on providing members financial guidance as the basis for a successful execution.
