This 60-minute online masterclass will illuminate the critical distinction between correlation and causation, showing why this understanding is fundamental to sound reasoning and better decision-making. Together, we will cut through the noise of simple correlations to demonstrate why causality is what truly matters in most business contexts. We will explore why establishing causality is a complex challenge and how we can use analytics models to uncover the true drivers of outcomes.

ABOUT THE LECTURER:
Professor Yalcin is the Co-Program Director for the Data for Decision Makers Short Course and Professor of Operations at Melbourne Business School. He received his dual-title PhD from the Penn State Smeal College of Business. Previously, he was an Associate Professor at Koç University.
